Qualifications

The Australian National University: Bachelors of Business Adminstration (Management, Corporate Law and Professional Ethics) with a GPA of 6.47/7

The University of Manchester (Exchange Program): Organisational Sociology with two (1:1) and one (1:1).

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA United Kingdom): Affiliate status with specialisation in Advance Financial Management (P4) and Audit and Assurance (P6).

University of Melbourne: Masters of Management (Finance): Commonwealth Supported Place- in progress. 

 

Biography

Muhammad Aunib Zaidi is a Researcher within the Research School of Management, ANU College of Business and Economics. His prior research projects include examining refugees' success in securing employment (under the supervision of Prof. Giles Hirst) and investigating international student well-being in the Australian universities (under the supervision of Prof. Prashant Bordia and Associate Prof. Sarbari Bordia) 

He is a qualified accountant and holds an affiliate status with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA affiliate). He has previously worked in Ernst and Young (PAKISTAN), and has actively engaged in numerous audit engagements such as Eni S.p.A, McDonalds, Hub Power Company Limited (HUBCO), Cherat Cement Limited, Pakistan State Oil Limited and Sanofi Aventis.

He completed his undergraduate degree from the ANU with a majors in Management. He is a recipient of many academic accolades, including Future Leaders Award 2016 and the Chancellor’s Letter of Commendation for Academic Excellence for maintaining a 7 on 7 GPA in the final year of his study. He was also offered a $15000 CBE cash scholarship to commence Honours, however, owing to other commitments was unable to pursue it.

He has previously interned at the ACT Conservation Council for which he received a nomination for the Outstanding Intern of Year Award (2016) at the ANU College of Business and Economics. He has served as the CBE Engaged Learning Ambassador, and currently works as a sessional academic/casual research staff for the Research School of Management in the College of Business and Economics. He has also worked as the academic tutor for Business and Management courses for the Nura Gili UNSW indigenous program, and as a professional trainer for the Accountant Resource Centre (ARC) in Canberra.

At present, he is working with the Victorian Public Service in the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions in Melbourne. At present, his work is primarily based in the area of Food and Fibre exports from Victoria. He has previously worked in the Department of Education and Training (home department) in the areas of Diversity and Inclusion, and Payroll and Leaves Management.
