BBus, HonsBBus (First Class), MSM, PhD

Deshani Ganegoda was granted a Ph.D. in Management in 2012 from the University of Central Florida. Currently, she is a Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University’s Research School of Management. Her research centres on the general topics of behavioural ethics, organisational justice, negotiation, and workplace deviance. Dr. Ganegoda’s research on justice, has examined, (a) the role of cognitive biases in employees’ justice judgments, (b) how time delays affect individuals’ reactions to unfairness in negotiations, and (c) how conscious and subconscious goals with respect to fairness influence negotiation patterns of individuals. Her research in the area of organisational deviance has examined personal and situational factors that encourage deviant behaviors at work. Her research in the area of behavioural ethics has thus far focused on two broad topics: how individuals’ perceived freewill influence their ethical behavior and how firm-level corporate social responsibility influence behaviors of individual employees. Dr. Ganegoda’s research has been published in premier journals in management, including Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Human Resource Management, and Human Relations. She has presented over 20 refereed conference papers and published four non-refereed book chapters.
