Research School of Management

Welcome to RSM
The Research School of Management offers a range of courses that may be taken as components of management, marketing, and international business majors or as electives in a range of undergraduate degrees of the ANU College of Business and Economics, and at the postgraduate level in the MBA, Master of Management and Master of Project Management programs. We also offer an active PhD program.
With all of our courses we aim to impart our students with the skill sets they will need to succeed in tomorrow's exciting organisational environments, together with the relevant knowledge base that will enable them to speak with authority in their areas of expertise. We achieve these by harnessing a team of academics with an impressive range of business experience and a track record of publishing in the world's leading management journals.
The management program provides students with the conceptual, analytical and practical skills to assist public and private sector organisations address a range of complex challenges. These include challenges of leadership, managing for sustainability, strategic thinking, managing people and problem solving and decision-making. It incorporates international business, a growing field of study dealing with the development, management and strategy of multinational enterprises in the global context.
The marketing program combines aspects of economics, psychology/sociology and statistical analysis in the assessment of customer behaviour and the development of appropriate value exchanges. The school also offers programs and courses in project management and corporate sustainability, areas of increasing relevance to today's organisations.
